Also known as EGYPTIAN ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY

The Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA), established in 1955, leads Egypt's national research in peaceful nuclear science. It runs four research centres, including the Nuclear Research Center, and two research reactors: ET-RR-1, commissioned in 1961, and ET-RR-2, a 22 MW multipurpose reactor at Inshas built by Argentina's INVAP. In fusion, the IAEA World Survey of Fusion Devices (2022) lists it as operator of EGYPTOR, a small tokamak used to test diagnostics and wall-cleaning discharge techniques for larger tokamaks.
