BATAN's research work became BRIN's Research Organization for Nuclear Energy (ORTN), founded on 1 September 2021, whose research centres cover nuclear reactor technology, nuclear materials and radioactive waste, radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, accelerators and nuclear safety.
