The National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos is a Greek research centre in the Athens area. Among its institutes is the Institute of Nuclear and Radiological Sciences and Technology, Energy and Safety. It is Greece's EUROfusion member, and the Greek fusion research unit, HellasFusion, joins it with seven Greek universities; the unit's work includes plasma kinetic theory, modelling of gyrotrons for DEMO and neutronics. Wikipedia lists its GRR-1 research reactor as a 5 megawatt pool reactor in extended shutdown.
