The Servicio Geológico Colombiano (SGC), formerly INGEOMINAS, is the Colombian government's geoscience agency, attached to the Ministry of Mines and Energy and based in Bogotá. Besides geology and geological hazards, its mandate includes managing nuclear and radioactive materials, coordinating nuclear research and running the national research reactor, which it describes as Colombia's only nuclear reactor.
