The University of Tartu is Estonia's EUROfusion member. According to EUROfusion, its Laboratory of Plasma Physics develops laser-induced plasma spectroscopy to diagnose how plasma interacts with the first wall in tokamaks, its Laboratory of Physics of Ionic Crystals studies radiation damage in window materials for fusion diagnostics, and its Laboratory of Environmental Physics works on neutron shielding assessments for the European DEMO design.
