Design value
A figure describing what a machine was built to do, such as its major radius, planned magnetic field or intended plasma current, rather than a measured result of running it. Design values are shown separately from performance results, most prominently on the devices pages, and are never mixed into the achieved or claimed performance tables: a design target and a measured shot answer different questions, even when they use the same units.
