Docket
The formal case file a regulator opens once it accepts an application for review, identified by a docket number that can be used to look up the regulator's own record of every filing and decision on that application. In United States nuclear licensing, an application being 'accepted for docketing' means the paperwork is complete enough to examine, not that it has been approved; the docket number is what this site's licensing page records as the anchor for a milestone, so a reader can verify a claim directly against the regulator's own record.
