ČEZ is the Czech Republic's main electricity company and the parent of a group of about 96 companies; the Czech state owns about 70% of its shares, which trade in Prague and Warsaw. It operates the country's two nuclear power stations, Dukovany (four units) and Temelín (two units), along with coal, hydro and renewable plants. It plans to start building the first of two new units at Dukovany and to deploy small modular reactors at up to three Czech sites, and in October 2024 it took a 20% stake in Rolls-Royce SMR.
