Eskom is South Africa's state-owned electricity utility, established in 1923 as the Electricity Supply Commission, and the largest electricity producer in Africa. It operates the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in the Western Cape, which Wikipedia calls the only nuclear power plant in Africa; the government instructed it to start work on Koeberg in 1974. Its site describes a long-term operation programme for Koeberg.
