Also known as F4E, European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy

Fusion for Energy is the European Union organisation that manages Europe's contribution to ITER, the international fusion experiment whose partners are China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the United States. It was established on 19 April 2007 for a period of 35 years and is based in Barcelona. It says Europe's contribution amounts to half of ITER's costs, and that it works with industry and research organisations to supply components and infrastructure. It also coordinates Europe's part in three fusion research projects under the Broader Approach Agreement between Europe and Japan.
