The National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics in Măgurele carries out fundamental and applied research on lasers, light-matter interaction, plasma and electron accelerators. It has a Laboratory of Plasma Physics and Nuclear Fusion and the CETAL laser centre. EUROfusion names it the main Romanian contributor to the programme, with work on plasma modelling, first-wall coatings, dust formation and plasma diagnostics.
