NRU was a 135 MW thermal heavy-water research reactor in Chalk River, Canada, run by the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. The IAEA Research Reactor Database lists it as permanently shut down, with first criticality on 3 November 1957 and shutdown on 31 March 2018.
