Ion temperature
Temperature of the plasma's ions, the nuclei that actually fuse, usually given in keV (1 keV is about 11.6 million kelvin). Every value carries a qualifier, peak or sustained: a peak temperature may have lasted milliseconds or less, a sustained one was held for a stated time, and they are different achievements. Conflating them is a listed red flag. Record figures are also usually the value at the hottest point, the centre of the plasma, not an average over its volume.
