Studsvik is a Swedish company in Nyköping that supplies the nuclear industry with fuel and core analysis software, radioactive waste treatment, decommissioning and engineering services, and is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. It was founded in Stockholm in 1947 as AB Atomenergi to develop nuclear power in Sweden; its two research reactors at Studsvik, R2 and R2-0, were decommissioned in 2005. In 2026 the Swedish SMR project developer Kärnfull Next joined Studsvik, which now describes it as developing sites and early-stage projects for small modular reactors in the Nordic region.
