Novatron Fusion Group is a Swedish company founded in 2019 in Stockholm to develop the NOVATRON, a magnetic mirror fusion device devised by its founding inventor. Its design aims to shape the magnetic field so that it grows stronger in every direction away from the centre of the plasma, a condition for stability that the company says earlier mirror machines did not meet. It has laboratory facilities at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and lists KTH, St1, UKAEA and Oxford Sigma among its partners. The company says it was the first private project in the EU to build a full-system fusion device with EU funding, and it started the Nordic Fusion Forum.
