Shot
One run of a fusion experiment, from start to finish: a single laser firing on an inertial fusion target, one discharge of a pinch, or one plasma in a tokamak or stellarator. Laboratories differ in the word they use: NIF and JT-60U number shots, JET numbered pulses, and the two mean the same thing. Results in this dataset carry the shot or pulse number where the source gives one, so a figure can be traced to the exact run that produced it. A result quoted with no shot number or date is weaker evidence.
