Ampegon Power Electronics AG is a Swiss maker of high-voltage power supplies, high-power radio-frequency amplifiers and pulsed-power systems, based in Baden. The present company was formed in 2019 when the Italian group Aretè & Cocchi Technology took over the assets of Ampegon AG, and it works alongside the group's OCEM Power Electronics. In fusion, its equipment powers plasma heating by microwaves and neutral beams: its site cites high-voltage supplies at the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, and in March 2026 it and Fusion for Energy handed the first European high-voltage power supply unit to ITER, after work that began in 2013. It also supplies particle accelerators, medical accelerators and broadcast transmitters.
