The National Centre for Nuclear Research is a Polish research institute at Otwock-Åšwierk. It operates the MARIA reactor, which it describes as the only research nuclear reactor in Poland, and uses it among other things for training. Through its POLATOM division it produces radiopharmaceuticals and diagnostic kits for nuclear medicine.
