Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE) is a Polish company that plans to deploy a fleet of small modular reactors in Poland. It has chosen GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy's BWRX-300, a 300 MWe boiling water reactor with natural circulation and passive safety systems, as its technology. The company says the reactors would replace retiring coal units and supply industrial plants and district heating networks.

- Boiling water reactor
- Light water boils directly in the core and the steam drives the turbine: one loop instead of two, simpler but with an activated steam circuit. Water is again both coolant and moderator, and fuel is low-enriched uranium oxide, as in a PWR.
