Calogena is a French company, a subsidiary of the industrial group Gorgé, developing a small nuclear boiler for district heating. The business register gives its creation date as 16 December 2021 and its seat in Paris. Its design is a pool-type water reactor of 30 MW of heat that produces no electricity, running at low pressure and temperature to heat water below 110 °C for city heating networks, according to the IAEA's 2024 catalogue. It is backed by the French state's France 2030 programme for new reactor designs, Réacteurs nucléaires innovants, and says it expects to deploy from 2030.
