The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation.
For the 10th edition of VivaTech, the CEA reaffirms its ambition to make technological innovation a strategic goal for industrial, scientific, and digital sovereignty. In VivaTech, the CEA will showcase its latest innovations in the fields of Energy, Digital Technologies, and Healthcare through demonstrators and start-ups emerging from its laboratories..
On May 22, the CEA’s TGCC hosted the European Forum on Computing, Quantum, and Semiconductor Technologies, attended by the President of the Republic. This major event brought together public and private sector stakeholders to discuss issues of technological sovereignty and disruptive technologies.
On May 12 and 13, the CEA welcomed a delegation from VTT, the Finnish Technical Research Centre, at its Saclay site for a high-level meeting between Anne-Isabelle Etienvre, CEO of the CEA, and Kalle Härkki, President and CEO of VTT. This annual meeting was aimed to review ongoing collaborations and identify new joint opportunities in several strategic areas. This meeting was also marked by the signing of an amendment that extends the framework cooperation agreement between the two organizations.
CEA is active internationally in a variety of areas: scientific and technical cooperation, sovereign missions, support for French nuclear industry and European community.
The CEA has positioned itself as a key player in building the European research area through its involvement and recognition in numerous European research initiatives and bodies.
To meet both the current and future stakes of the energy transition which is indispensable to fight climate change, the CEA has been leading research on low-carbon power systems combining nuclear and renewable energies. .
