CTFusion

Also known as CTFUSION
CTFusion was a Seattle start-up spun out of the University of Washington in 2015 to develop fusion using spheromaks, a compact magnetised plasma configuration, sustained by inductive helicity injection; the IAEA survey lists its IDCD device. GeekWire reported in April 2023, quoting its chief executive, that the 10-person company wound down in February 2023 after failing to close its first venture capital round, having received about $5 million in government grants, and that three of its four co-founders joined Zap Energy. We have not found a registry record of its dissolution, so its status here is unchanged.
