Our mission is to improve the quality of life for humankind by advancing nuclear power.

What started as a university research project in 2002 is now a mission to bring small modular reactor (SMR) technology to the global energy market. We made history in 2020 as the first SMR to receive U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) design approval, and again in 2022 as the first SMR technology provider to become a publicly traded company.

S&P Global Sustainable 1 performed an analysis to determine Scope 1 and 2 emissions from NuScale Power’s operations based on the greenhouse gas accounting standard: GHG Protocol.
