Dominion Energy is a US utility headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, supplying electricity in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. In 2022 nuclear provided about 23% of its electricity. It operates the North Anna and Surry nuclear stations in Virginia, units 2 and 3 of the Millstone station in Connecticut, and the V.C. Summer station in South Carolina, where construction of two new units was abandoned in 2017; it completed its purchase of SCANA in 2019. In May 2026 NextEra Energy and Dominion agreed an all-stock merger that would make Dominion a NextEra subsidiary; it needs shareholder and regulatory approval and had not closed as of September 2026.
