Electric Fusion Systems is a US company that says it is developing a compact, portable fusion generator producing electricity directly. Its patent-pending concept uses a fuel it describes as proton-lithium Rydberg matter, made from lithium, ammonia and noble gases, through which pulsed electrical arcs are fired; it says the resulting reactions have been seen in spectrographic and neutron measurements. The company itself notes that its fuel is the one step of the process not supported in the scientific literature. We hold no independent account of its results.
