Hitachi GE Vernova Nuclear Energy is the Japanese nuclear company established in 2007 by Hitachi and General Electric (now GE Vernova), and was called Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy until 1 June 2025. Its company profile gives its registered head office as Hitachi City, Ibaraki, its owners as Hitachi (80.01%) and GE Vernova (19.99%), and about 1,500 employees. It designs, builds and services light-water reactor plants, and is the Japanese counterpart of the US company GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy, with which it presented the BWRX-300 small modular reactor to the IAEA. It announced it would supply key reactor components for Ontario Power Generation's Darlington BWRX-300 project.
