Terra Fusion Energy is a US fusion start-up in Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, founded in 2024 according to Fusion Energy Base. It is developing centrifugal magnetic-mirror fusion: plasma is held in a magnetic mirror, a straight magnetic field squeezed at each end so that particles are reflected back, and spun at supersonic speed to stabilise and heat it and improve confinement. The company says it is in the research and prototype phase and names SOSV, HAX and ARPA-E among its backers. An earlier version of this record pointed at ecoroads.com, which belongs to an unrelated soil-stabiliser business with a similar name.
