Saltfoss Energy, called Seaborg Technologies until April 2025, is a Danish company in Copenhagen developing molten salt reactors, in which the nuclear fuel is dissolved in liquid salt, to be mounted on floating platforms built in shipyards. The company says it was founded in 2014 by a group of physicists. Its current design, the seaMSR-100, is a 100 MWe reactor that it says is designed to run for 24 years without refuelling, with platforms combining several reactors for 100 to 600 MWe. It works with Korean partners, including Samsung Heavy Industries for the platforms and KHNP for nuclear operations, and has an office in Geoje, South Korea. Its earlier design was the Compact Molten Salt Reactor; in 2023 it switched its first reactors to low-enriched uranium fuel and a graphite moderator. No reactor has been built.

Terms
- Molten salt reactor
- Fuel DISSOLVED in the salt, which in most designs is fuel carrier and coolant at once. Distinct from a salt-cooled reactor with solid fuel; the two are often confused. Moderator, where one is used at all, is a separate design choice from the salt: thermal-spectrum MSRs are typically graphite-moderated, fast-spectrum MSRs carry no moderator.
- Low-enriched uranium
- Uranium enriched to 5% uranium-235 or less, typically 3 to 5%: the range almost all power reactors use. Formally, anything below 20% is low-enriched; this site holds the band from 5% to just under 20% separately as HALEU, with its 5 to 10% part also tagged as LEU+. A fuel above 5% uranium-235 belongs in one of those, never here, whatever a developer's own materials call it.
