Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) is the electric utility for Japan's Kanto region, including Tokyo, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo. It operated the Fukushima Daiichi plant, site of the 2011 nuclear disaster that followed the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. It also owns the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa plant, which it had to shut after the 2007 earthquake there; Wikipedia reports that Unit 6 was restarted in January 2026 and Unit 7 is expected back by 2030.
