The Troitsk Institute for Innovation and Fusion Research (TRINITI) is a Russian research institute in Troitsk, Moscow. It began in 1952 as a magnetic laboratory of the USSR Academy of Sciences, became part of the Kurchatov Institute in 1961 and took its current name in 1991. It works on controlled fusion, plasma physics, laser physics and pulsed power, and the IAEA World Survey of Fusion Devices lists it as the operator of the T-11M tokamak. It has been under US, UK, EU and Canadian sanctions since 2023.
