Also known as ENEC, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) is the United Arab Emirates body responsible for deploying and owning the country's nuclear power plants, established by decree in December 2009. It owns the Barakah plant in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi, built with a consortium led by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). ENEC says the plant's four APR1400 reactors produce 40 TWh a year, about 25% of the UAE's electricity needs.
