Forschungszentrum Jülich is an interdisciplinary research centre in Jülich, Germany, and a founding member of the Helmholtz Association; it marks 70 years of operation. Its Institute of Fusion Energy and Nuclear Waste Management has a plasma physics division and a nuclear waste management division. As a German EUROfusion member it has about 110 staff in fusion, studying how particle flux, heat load and neutron damage together affect wall materials, using the linear plasma devices PSI-2 and JULE-PSI and the electron beam facility JUDITH-3.
