Dual Fluid is a reactor developer headquartered in Berlin, Germany, whose founders come from the Institute for Solid-State Nuclear Physics in Berlin. Its design uses two separate circulating liquids in place of fuel rods: one carries the nuclear fuel and the other removes the heat, which it says lets the reactor run at about 1,000 °C. It says the reactor regulates itself because the fuel expands and becomes less reactive as it heats, and that if cooling fails a frozen plug of fuel melts and drains the fuel into underground tanks. It markets two designs, the DF-300 and the larger DF-1500, but publishes no power rating for them on its site.

Terms
- Liquid-metal cooled
- Reactors cooled by molten metal at near-atmospheric pressure. Most designs use no moderator, so the neutrons stay fast. A few do slow their neutrons: Aalo Atomics describes its sodium-cooled Aalo-1 as a thermal reactor, and the IAEA lists Idaho National Laboratory's MARVEL microreactor as liquid-metal-cooled with a thermal spectrum.
