The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) is the trade association for the UK civil nuclear industry, based in London. It represents more than 280 member companies across the supply chain, including power station operators, decommissioning and waste companies, fuel-cycle businesses, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, research organisations and professional services firms, and is funded by their subscriptions. It advocates for the industry on policy, runs conferences including an annual conference, and publishes an annual Jobs Map of UK nuclear employment; its 2026 edition put UK nuclear jobs at 100,000 for the first time. It does not build or operate nuclear plants.
