TRUMPF is a German family-owned company founded in 1923 and based in Ditzingen near Stuttgart. It makes machine tools for sheet-metal work and industrial lasers, including the high-power laser amplifiers that generate extreme ultraviolet light in chip-making machines. It reported preliminary sales of about €4.3 billion for fiscal 2025/26. Its link to fusion is through lasers: in February 2026 it published a white paper with Xcimer Energy on Xcimer's excimer-laser fusion design.
